College Of Engineering, Andhra University, is a premier Institute of higher education in India, was established in 1926. Located on the uplands of Visakhapatnam, 'The City of Destiny', the natural beauty of the University campus is breathtaking, with the spread of serene blue shade of the 'Bay of Bengal' on one side of it and on the other, beautiful green Kailasagiri hill range. Sir Dr. C.R.Reddy was the founder Vice-Chancellor of the Andhra University.
Andhra University College of Engineering (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam, is the campus college of University. At the time of inception, was of only a Department of Engineering with Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering as the main branches. In the year 1960, the Department of Engineering was shifted to the present spacious North campus spreading over 150 acres of land. The Department of Chemical Technology, instituted in 1933, was also shifted to the same campus in 1962, adding strength to the Engineering Departments. The trifurcation of the University colleges in 1966, led to the inception of the College of Engineering (Autonomous) as a separate constituent of the Andhra University.
At present, the College of Engineering (Autonomous) consists of 12 Engineering and 4 Basic Sciences departments, totalling to 16 departments, offering 15 Under-Graduate Engineering day-time programmes and 4 UG Engineering part-time programmes; 28 Post-Graduate Engineering programmes, 1 MCA and 3 M.Sc. programmes in various departments. All the departments are also running Ph.D. programmes in different fields of research.
The AU College of Engineering (Autonomous) has acquired considerable reputation in the country and has several Centres of Excellence in various fields carrying out research in specialized areas. These include International Center for Bioinformatics, Advanced Center for Nano Technology, Center for Biotechnology and Center for Phase Equilibrium Thermodynamic in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Center for Energy Systems and Center for Condition monitoring & Vibration Diagnostics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Center for Remote Sensing and Information System in the Department of Geo Engineering and Centre for Research on Off-Shore Structures in the Department of Civil Engineering.
The AU College of Engineering (Autonomous) graded along with the Andhra University by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) and awarded a rating of A + (85%).
The Government of India through its National Policy of Education, implemented the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) for overall development of Technical Education in the country. The AU Autonomous College of Engineering is one of the four Lead Institutions selected in the state of Andhra Pradesh for World Bank Aid.

Admissions
Being a Christian Minority Institution,priority is given to the Christian minority candidates. Vacant seats, if any, will be given to non-minority applicants.
As per rules in vogue 75% of seats to minority candidates,25% to the management NRI and 10% to ECET candidates(into Second year) are earmarked.

CJITS has been offering computer science £ Engineering course with intake of 120 students the department has grown substantially since last years. We have well qualified and dedicated staff to lead the students to achieve academic excellence, Apart from this the main aim of department is to bring out graduates to cope with outside World.
Our Department is well equipment with the required infrastructure as per the AICTE norms. The eight computer Laboratories that we have well-equipped with the required infrastructure which is needed for the future IT Professionals.
A Separate high end Lab takes care of the needs of students doing Project Works. A Large number of students are taking up projects in Collaboration with the industries, which would keep them abreast of the latest developments in the field.
We have 280 Systems with high Configuration in eight Labs; we have two Hardware professionals to maintain these Labs.

DEPARTMENT OF HUMANITIES AND SCIENCESThe Humanities and Sciences Department comprises Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Management Studies and Environmental Studies.The standing and the firmness of a structure is decided by the strength of foundation laid. Similarly the applied and engineering sciences derive strength from basic sciences and their growth is decided by input given by basic sciences.Our Department is proud to have two doctorates and the other staff members are also involved in research programmes. It also consists of two laboratories, Engineering Physics laboratory and English language laboratory.The English language laboratory aims at training the students for various competitive exams such as GRE, TOFEL, GMAT etc., and also in group discussion, which is very much helpful during the interviews. Audio - visual aids & special software are being used to improve the communication skills of the students.
Presently, the 'Nano-Technology' has its wide applications. This Nano-Technology enables us to design the simple circuits rather than messedup complicated circuits. These are even made with ease of portability presently in the technical institutions. These are bought into the light and this is taught to the students. Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology is one of the premier Engineering Colleges in the self-financing category in Andhra Pradesh. It has been accredited twice in 1998 and again in 2004 by NBA(AICTE). It is also the first ISO 9001-2000 certified Engineering Institute of AP. The total constructed area is 4,45,467 sq. ft. worth about Rs 25..00 crores spread on 30 acres. The grants recieved from AICTE are worth about Rs. 1.3 crores. VLSI Center
The college has a well established VLSI Design Lab with Software like Cadence Tools, Xilinx, Modelsim, Altera.
It has facilities to provide guidance to the students at Masters and Doctoral level.
Prof. RVB Chary, Director, Center for VLSI Design, has vast experience in the area of VLSI and worked as professor and head Depatment of ECE, OU for several years.
The College has entered into an MoU with Cadence Design Systems, Inc. to receive full-fledged VLSI EDA
We had the good opportunity of Prof. Magdy Bayoumi a Senior Professor, IEEE Fellow and Director for Centre of Advanced Computer Studies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, U.S.A., an authority in VLSI from 1970, visiting the Lab on 19-02-2006. He addressed the students and staff of the College. As a tribute for his authority in VLSI and a great satisfaction to CVR, the VLSI Lab is named now as ‘Prof. Magdy Bayoumi Centre for VLSI Design.

In the year 1997 he established BVC Engineering College in a far and cornered peasantry of East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh at a place called Odalarevu. The response was overwhelming and the alumni have come-up bagging the best jobs in the industry.

Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women (Formerly ISS College of Information Technology and Engineering for Women) was established in 1997 and has been sponsored by Sangam Laxmibai Vidyapeet (SLV) headed by Dr Ramlakshmi, a physician and administrator is the Correspondent of the College. The SLV is a registered voluntary social action group working for empowerment of women and girls through education since 1952.
The Engineering College is managed by an executive committee consisting of persons with long experience in the field of education.

The department is headed by the Professor Ravinder G. Reddy who obtained his BE (Mech), MS (CSE) from New jersey Institute of Technology, He has more than 15 years software industry experience. He is assisted with 17 teaching staff:

The Computer Lab-1
This lab has 66 systems (P-IV) configuration connected with server based on Zeon processor of 1.8 Ghz loaded with Windows NT and Linux Software
The Computer Lab-II
This lab is exclusively used for internet, has 32 systems (P-III Compaq) connected with two servers (P-III compaq), one server loaded with proxy software. The lab is connected with a dedicated leased line of 128 KBPS connected through BSNL (Internet Service Provider). Unlimited free access of the internet facility is given to all the students and staff.
The Computer Lab-III
This lab has 64 systems(P-III configuration) connected with three servers (P-III configuration) loaded with Windows Advanced Server-2000, Linux/Windows-98 and SCO-Unix.

Department of Information Technology
The department is established during the year 2000-01 with a special emphasis on emerging areas of information technology required by the industry. The department is headed by Dr. Rekha , an MCA and MTech from JNTU and Ph D (CS) from University of Udine, Italy. She has more than 15 Years experience in teaching and research. She has participated and presented research papers at international conferences and workshops in different countries and published 5 Papers in international journals.

Department of Chemical Engineering
Professor J. Narayan Reddy, Head of the Department, obtained his M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Bombay. He has more than 20 years of teaching and industrial experience. His area of interest includes reaction engineering, heat and mass transfer etc. Besides, he is known for his keen interest in preparing the students to appear for GATE exams. The department has 1 Professor, 1 associate professor and 7 asst professors with 6 technical supporting staff.
The department has fully developed labs such as Chemical technology lab, fluid mechanics lab, heat transfer lab, mechanical unit operations lab, chemical reaction engineering lab,mass transfer operations lab. Under the suspices of the department, a 1-day national workshop on 'Entrepreneurship Awarness for Women' was organized in March 2001 in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organization Ltd (APITCO). The department also organized a 2-day national workshop on "Recent Advances in Reaction Engineering" In Feburary 2003

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The Department is headed by Prof Gopal Manii, who obtained his B Tech from JNTU and ME from Osmania University. He has more than 30 years of teaching and research experience in the area of Electronic Devices and Circuits, Pulse & Digital Circuits, Microprocessor/Microcontrollers & Applications etc. He has experience in Design & Development of Test & Measuring Instruments, Design & Production of Process Control Systems, etc. He also conducted VHF Data link of Future Air Navigation System Trials in our country, & Incharge for Defence 'EWP' project. The department has got 2 associate professors and 18 asst. professors with 8 technical supporting staff members. The faculty has well teaching expertise in various specialized fields such as VLSI Design, Communications, Digital systems and signal processing.
The department, besides having all well-developed labs as required by JNTU, has very specialized labs in the areas of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) with software of MATLAB (ver 7.04), Electronics Computer Aided Design (ECAD) with software PSPICE, MS Windows & OS and VLSI lab having VHDL modelling and Synthesis (Innoveda-VIEW LOGIC ) and MATLAB Software The VLSI lab with one P-III high speed server (866 MHZ) and with 6 nodes has been established having facility of TANNER TOOLS software for a mixed mode signal design. Advanced Microprocessor Lab has been established with 20 P-III computers working at 1.5 MHz clock speed for developing assembly language programs. C Cross Compiler with two licenses have been produced and 30 kits of 8051 microcontroller kits with MASM software are available in the laboratory

NewsDeskThe department successfully completed MBA IV Semester students Viva-voce examinations. The panel included eminent professors from Osmania University, JNTU and Dr. B R Ambedkar Open University. The HOD convened a meeting in the department and congratulated the faculty for successful completion of Viva-voce examinations.

Bapatla Engineering College was established by society in the year 1981 with a total intake of 180 students in CE, ME & E.C.E branches. From year 1994, The College embarked on programs of expansion in terms of courses and intake, infrastructure and facilities. Presently the college offers “9 B.Tech Degree Courses” with an intake of 630. Additional 10% intake is through lateral admissions into second year.

The college also offers “6 P.G Courses in sciences including MCA with a total intake of 234. With requisite infrastructure facilities and competent human resources, the college is one of the “Largest Institutions in the State of Andhra Pradesh “. Mission:
“To inculcate the students to acquire outstanding skills in the emerging technologies and analytical thinking in the field of electronics & instrumentation to meet the challenges in the in the industry through practice oriented teaching and training.”
The Staff:
The Department has 12 members of faculty ( 2 Professors, 1 Assistant Professor and 9 Lecturers. and 3 members of supporting staff. The faculty has teaching expertise in various specializations like electronic Instrumentation, Controls and Instrumentation, Communications, Digital Systems and Embedded Systems Etc.
The Infrastructure:
The Department is equipped with 6 labs exclusively for the department, One departmental computer centre, and a departmental library, classrooms equipped with modern teaching aids and staff rooms. The laboratories include the Transducers Lab, Measurements lab, Process Control Labs, Advanced Instrumentation Lab, Embedded systems Lab and Bio Medical Instrumentation Lab. Apart from this the students are also trained in the Basic Electronics Lab, Analog Electronic Circuits, Digital & Integrated Circuits Labs, Communication, DSP lab , and Microprocessor labs can be used.
Achievements:
The Electronic Instrumentation Engineering students have been consistently securing top ranks in GATE examination during the last three years and stand high in the university among the various colleges affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University. A good number of students have been selected through campus recruitment process for placement in reputed companies like TCSL, Wipro, Satyam, Infosys Etc. during the last two years nearly 50 students qualified in GATE out of these 11 students obtained all India ranks below 100.

Department has excellent lab facilities with state of art equipment. Highly qualified, experienced and committed faculty, have set global standards in academics. Department gives equal importance to promote ethical values as well as personality development. The department has been accredited by NBA New Delhi for a period of three years. The students of EEE department regularly organize various technical & extra curricular events and bring out magazine annually under EEE Association with high quality articles. At the time of establishment the intake is 60 only. Now it is 90 from the academic year 2001.
The department has excellent Lab facilities i.e Machines Lab-I, Machines Lab-II, Control Systems Lab, Measurements Lab, Power systems Lab, Power electronics Lab and Computer Center. The Computer Center is exclusive for the student and staff of EEE. The computer center is equipped with one Pentium server and one NT server. The center affords hands on experience for 33 students at a time. All are connected in LAN, providing Internet facility during working hours. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was started in 1994-95. The department offers B.Tech( Computer Science & Engineering Program) with an annual intake of 132.
The department is equipped with the state of the art computing facilities and experienced staff members and is known for its academic excellence proved by its performances since its inception.
The pass percentage of the department has been more than 97% and more than 50% of the students obtain distinction every year, which speaks of the academic fervour in the department. The department holds the reputation of getting competitive GATE scores every year, and the students got admitted in all the IIT’s IISc, Central Univeristy, University of Roorkee and many Regional Engineering Colleges in M.Tech and M.S. Programs.
It is a matter of pride that 5 students of the department got admission into a batch of 30 students in M.Tech. Programme: 2001-2002 at IIT, Kanpur.
A good number of students from the department obtained admissions into M.S.(Computer Science) Program abroad . Many of the students were placed in reputed organizations like HP, Texas Instruments, Motorola, Lucent, Wipro, HCL, Siemens, Veritas, Oracle, Hoenywell, Mindtree Solutions, Infosys, Aztec in challenging positions.

Introduction:
The department was established in 1981. As on today twenty three batches passed out with excellent academic performance. The Department has excellent lab facilities with state of the art equipment and it has highly qualified, experienced and committed faculty members. Introduction:

DEPARTMENT OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING
The Department of Chemical Engineering which is accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) from March 2007 was established in the year 1997 and has been offering under graduate course (with an intake of 60 students excluding management quota), has excellent laboratory, library facilities including a well established computer center. It has lofty aims of producing integrated students of highest caliber with dedicated and diligent faculty members from reputed institutions like IITs, NITs and Universities. The department has been producing excellent academic results both at university level and at GATE on national level every year and GRE/TOEFL on international level.
Our students obtained ALL INDIA 7th, 9th, 12th, 22nd,25th, 33rd, 37th,44th, 46th,49th, 60th,61st, 65th, 69th, 88th and 91st and 97th RANKS in top hundred in GATE till 2007. The students of the department have bagged job immediately after B.Tech in BABA ATOMIC RESEARCH CENTER (BARC) for three consecutive years (2003-2005). Students are also well placed in software companies through campus placements. Also the students have been excelling in co-curricular activities like paper presentations, quizzes and other technical competitions in large number. The department has been actively engaged in developing the B.Tech Biotechnology program of the college since 2003.

About The Department:
The Department of Civil Engineering was started from the very inception of Bapatla Engineering College in 1981 and so far has produced nearly 1850 graduates. Over the years the department has shown remarkable progress in academics. The department was nurtured in the hands of Dr S R Parimi and then groomed under the guidance and services of Dr G. Krishna Swamy, Dr. K N V Prasada Rao, Prof M L Ganju, Dr V. Sreenivasulu, Dr N Rangaiah, Dr A.V. Narayanappa, Dr CH Sarath Babu, Dr K V Krishna Rao (Presently working as faculty at IITB) and Dr M Amarnath Reddy (Presently working as faculty at IIT,KGP). The strength of the department lies with its well qualified and dedicated faculty, Skilled supporting staff, well established laboratories, excellent infra structure and disciplined& hardworking students. Dr S R Parimi, Dr G. Krishna Swamy and Dr K N V Prasada Rao served the Institution as Principal apart from the department.
The department has acquired NBA accreditation and approval by the Institution of Engineers (India) in recognition of its high quality. The department is recognized as Research Centre by Acharya Nagarjuna University to which this institution is affiliated.
Civil Engineering is fundamentally a social activity. In the practice of Civil Engineering, we are aware of this, and that is why it is right for us to insist on clarity and intelligibility. We have a specific goal and vision of developing the department into a full fledged learning centre for conceptual knowledge. The department is geared to translate its vision into deeds, by producing quality technocrats with inbuilt character of commitment and hardworking, who can interpret and implement the knowledge acquired for the development of society; by organising national seminars and workshops to expose the students and staff the recent trends in R&D; by improving teaching learning process by supplementing the regular class room instruction with teaching aids such as LCD projector; by conducting technical seminars& group discussions on a continuous basis to enhance knowledge as well as communication skills; by involving faculty in both research and consultancy activities, by encouraging the faculty to update their knowledge in both academic and practical fields by sending them to various conferences, workshops, seminars and through industrial training during vacation.

Introduction:
The Department of Biotechnology was started in the academic year 2002-2003 with an intake of 30 and enhanced to 60 seats in the year 2006-07. The Department, which offers excellent academic ambience, is situated in the Second floor of General Engineering Block with a total floor area of 2850 Sq.mts. The laboratories, classrooms and staff rooms are well integrated and provide better interactions among staff & students.
The Department of Biotechnology is fortunate in having assistance & guidance from the Department of Chemical Engineering of the college, Bapatla College of Pharmacy and the Departments of Microbiology & Biochemistry of Bapatla Arts & Science College, which are the sister institutions run by the same society. As par as Agricultural Biotechnology is concerned we are fortunate to have a full pledged agricultural college and research centre of Acharya N.G.Ranga Agricultural University in Bapatla.
The 4-year B.Tech curriculum provides laboratory facilitates in the fields of Biology, Biochemistry, Genetic Engineering, Immunology, Bioprocessing, Down stream processing, Bioinformatics and other associated Engineering fields. The Biotechnology laboratories are planned in a spacious 720 Sq.m. fully developed area.
Sophisticated, imported/indigenous equipments like Gas Chromatograph, Fermentors (Insitu, Autoclavable), Bioreactors (Packed bed, Fluidized bed), Cross-flow Filtration Unit, Ultra Sonic Processor, Lyophilizer, Gel Document system, PCR, ELISA reader, Blotting equipment, UV-Visible spectrophotometer, BOD Incubator, Orbital shaker, Cooling Centrifuge, Laminar flow units, Deep Freezer (-20 0C, -86 0C), Digital Incubators, Autoclaves, Microscopes (Stereo zoom, Trinocular microscope, Binocular microscope, Monocular microscopes), Double distillation unit (glass), pH meter, Polarimeter, Nephlometer, Digital Electrical Balances, number of kits related to Immunology and Genetic Engineering labs have already been purchased (Investment so far is Rs. 1 Crore) and are in operation.
The modern laboratory facilities and sophisticated instruments purchased will enable the students to take up small research projects in the campus itself. The Department is also fortunate to have eight qualified (M.Tech Biotechnology) full time faculty members from different academic backgrounds such as Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Life sciences etc. Two visiting professors are also associated with our program.
The students are trained, from time to time, to the new developments in Biotechnology research, communication skills, personality developments etc. by organizing:

The Department has purchased sufficient number of books for the central as well as departmental library to serve the immediate needs of students. The collection of books so far is 157 Titles and 507 volumes. The Department has purchased number of CD-ROMs and also subscribing to four national and two international journals.

The Department was established in the year 1981. It is presently affiliated to Acharya Nagarguna University. The Department has highly qualified, experienced and committed faculty who have set good academic standards. The Department also thrives to promote ethical values and personality development of students.
The Department which was originally intent to cater to the needs of Engineering Mathematics has leaped a step ahead in 1989 when it has started offering M.Sc(Application Oriented Mathematics). The first batch student Mr. A. Srinivasa Rao(Regd.No.89OM49) made the department proud by claiming the University Gold Medal. From then onwards the saga of getting the university ranks is continuing every year. In the year 2000 the department switched over to M.Sc(Maths) to enable its students for a smooth passover to their higher studies in other universities. As on today Seventeen batches passed out with an excellent academic performance.
The department has takes keen interest in meeting the requirements of the engineering departments by handling some special papers like ‘Theory of Automata and formal languages’ of CSE & IT departments, ‘Computer Applications’ of Chemical Engineering Department and ‘Operations Research’ of EEE Department, are only a few to mention.
The department leaped one more step ahead when the Acharya Nagarjuna University has recognized it in March 2004 as one of the potential departments that can offer M. Phil and Ph.D courses. So far five students obtained M.Phil from Acharya Nagarjuna University and two students are working for their research degrees. Sri. J.Baskar Babujee ( ex –staff member of the college ) obtained Ph.D under the guidance of Dr. N. Prabhakara Rao form JNTU, Hyderabad.

Department of Chemistry :

1. Department Profile
Since the inception of the college, the Chemistry Department has been always proving to be one of the strong organs of the college and it is striving hard to uplift the prestige of the college. It was started with four Doctorates 24 years back and at no time, the number of Doctorates in the department has come below this level. Presently, FOUR Doctorates are working. So far, the Research publications of the teachers who worked/working in our department is above 150 and the expertise behind these Research publications is manifested in the development of this department.
Besides enriching the students with the applied aspects of Chemistry such as Engineering Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Analytical Instrumentation for Electronics and Instrumentation students etc., and providing sound fundamental applied basis for Chemical Engineering students, the department has started M.Sc. Chemistry course with specialization in Organic Chemistry in 1997 with an intake of 24 students. In 2002-2003 academic year the strength of the students has been increased to 30 due to our good performance. Some of the students showed remarkable performance in National level tests viz., NET, GATE and in the local University.
Further our Chemistry Department has been recognized for conducting research works viz, M.Phil, and Ph.D by Acharaya Nagarjuna University and also some of our department staff members are guiding Research students of Ph.D. under “External Registration Stream” of JNTU, Hyderabad and some of our junior staff members are working in part-time for their Ph.D in our well-furnished chemical labs.
The department has four well-furnished and equipped labs having total plinth areas: 719 Sq. m. We have a separate room for modern instruments, which are being used for conducting different types of analysis. At present the department has 11 teaching staff members.
The lab is undertaking consultancy work assessing the physico-chemical parameters of various samples of different origin. In fact we are the consultants for prawn cultivation, which is widely being spread, around our locality i.e. from Nizampatnam to Nellore.
The department has the distinction of “Publishing Research Papers” from the college and thereby enshrining the college name in the eternal and everlasting words of Journals.

Department of English

Introduction
The Department of English is located in the 3 rd Floor of the General Engineering Block (GEB). It has a well-equipped Digital Language Laboratory and a fully furnished staff room. The Department is dedicated to the development of communicative skills of the undergraduate and postgraduate students, especially, from rural and semi-urban regions of Andhra Pradesh. In addition to the English curriculum needs, the department also trains students for state level and national level intercollegiate literary competitions. The department takes up the challenge of preparing the students for Campus Placement Interviews and recruitment procedures off-campus.
Communication Skills Lab
The state-of-the-art digital language lab uses Ikonnet’s new HiClass SW software solution for teaching and learning in a computer classroom. The lab is designed to operate in a LAN environment with 60 Pentium 4 nodes and a dedicated multimedia server. The communication skills lab has a power backup and Internet facilities. This lab is open for all from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM on all working days. The learning facilities include the following:

Tech. courses, excepting NRI Quota, is through a State-Level Entrance Test called “Engineering, Agricultural Sciences and Medical Common Entrance Test" (EAMCET) and to the MBA & MCA courses is through Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Admissions
Eligibility:
The eligibility criteria for admission into Engineering (Including Technology), Pharmacy Professional courses shall be as mentioned below:Seats in each Course in Un-Aided Professional Institutions are classified into CATEGORY A (75% of intake) and CATEGORY B (25% of intake).
For CATEGORY A seats .
The candidate shall be of Indian National
The candidate should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the Academic year for which the admissions are being conducted.
The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination (10+2) or equivalent on the date of his/her counseling for admission and secured the rank at the Common Entrance Test conducted by the State and also satisfy other conditions laid down in the G.O.s.
The candidate should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirement as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
For CATEGORY B seats .
The candidate shall be of Indian National or a Non-Resident Indian.
The candidate should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the Academic year for which the admissions are being conducted.
20% of Category B seats are available to NRI candidates who have passed the qualifying examination with not less than 60% of aggregate marks or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) equivalent to 6 on a scale of 10.
The left over seats are available to candidates from other states and Union Territories of India who have passed the qualifying examination and secured rank in AIEEE.
Vacant seats if any may be filled with eligible candidates including those securing not less than 60% of aggregate marks or 60% in Group subjects in the qualifying examination
Admission Norms
Detailed information on fees, scholarships, concessions, hostel facilities, annual transport charges, courses of studies, syllabus, laboratory practicals and the theory and practical examinations duration, pattern, and academic calendar etc., will be intimated to the student after admission. Candidate must furnish correct information regarding marks, age and cast-community etc in the application. Furnishing of incorrect information, deliberately or other wise, will lead to:
Forfeiture of allocated seat, no matter at what stage of the admission, or study process, the candidate is, at the time of detection of incorrect information.
In addition, the institute reserves the right to initiate legal action against the candidate and the concerned Parents/Guardians.
Application forms for the admission, should be submitted, along with 4 passport and 4 stamp size photographs.
Students, from other states, should produce migration certificate from competent authority.
All admissions, are provisional, and are subject to the approval of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kukatpally, Hyderabad.
Fees are to be paid, in a single installment at the beginning of every academic year, by crossed, A/C payee DD, in favour of B.I.T. Institute of Technology, Hindupur.
Fees, once paid, are not refundable.

To provide professional education to students of rural background, ALFA EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY was registered in 2001 under the Chairmanship of Mr.Sharief .The society is run by the patronage of Sri. Bhooma NagiReddy and Smt. Shoba NagiReddyThe technical advisor and correspondent of the college is, Dr.G.RamaKrishna Reddy, Director of Ramakrishna Group of Educational Institutes, Nandyala.

Allagadda town surrounded by number of villages is relatively a backward area in Kurnool (D.t.). Sri Bhooma NagiReddy, former M.P. Nandyala and Smt.Shoba NagiReddy, former M.L.A. Allagadda wanted to provide facilities for professional education at Allagadda. So that students of surrounding villages can be benefited. With this intention, they established Alfa Educational Society in 2001 which runs an Engineering college and a M.B.A college. The objective of this society is to provide quality education on non-commercial basis to the rural people.

Alfa College of Engineering and Technology was started during the academic year 2001-02.This college is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to JNT University, Hyderabad.

Allagadda Institute of Management SciencesTwo year M.B.A course was established during the academic year 2002-03 with an intake of 60.This is affiliated to Sri Krishna Devaraya University,Anantapur

The society acquired an area of 32 acres on the National Highway No:18 ,Kurnool-Cuddapah-Chittoor. The college is situated at 4-5 k.m. from Allagadda towards cuddapah abetting the Highway.

ISO 9000:2000 certification was awarded for the two institutions in 2006.

. Convener Quota:

Engineering:75 % of seats are filled by the convener, Eamcet, Admissions based on the rank obtained in the Common Entrance Exam EAMCEThe eligible is passing in 10+2 (Intermediate Exam).

MBA:75 % of seats are filled by the convener, ICET, Admissions based on the rank obtained in the Common Entrance Exam ICET.The eligible is passing in (10+2+3) (Any Bachelor Degree).

B. Management Quota:

25 % seats are reserved for Management Quota which is filled with NRI students/other state students /students of A.P state in that order.

Engineering: 60 % aggregate in intermediate (10+2) or EAMCET rank.

MBA: 60 % aggregate in any degree or ICET rankThe prescribed application can be obtained from the college website. (www.alfacet.org) and submit the same in the college with a registration fee of Rs 600/-(Rs 100/- for application cost + 500 for registration fee) with in the specified date.

After 6th semester students go for summer training with reputed companies. It is a matter of great pride for us that out of our first pass-out batch of 190 students, about 66% have got placement in companies such as Birla Softwares, Hughes Software Systems, IBM, Infosys, ORACLE, Quark-India Pvt. Ltd., Ramco Systems, Sapient, Satyam, Siemens, ST Micro Electronics, Wipro etc. and are getting an approx. salary of 1.7 lakhs per annum. 1. For Delhi Region seats through CEE-2009:
Applications are invited from the candidates, who appeared in CEE-2009 conducted by University of Delhi for
admission to B. E. Courses under Faculty of Technology (University of Delhi) in Delhi College of Engineering
(DCE) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT). Admission will be made from amongst those, who
will apply on the prescribed form strictly on the basis of Rank of CEE-2009.
2. For Outside Delhi Region seats through AIEEE-2009:
Applications are also invited from the candidates, who have appeared in AIEEE-2009 and have been declared
eligible for Central Counselling by CBSE, for admission to B.E. Courses in the above two institutes for 15% seats
for outside Delhi Region. Admission will be made on the basis of Rank of AIEEE-2009.
The application form can be obtained from the Reception Counter, Administrative Building, Delhi College of
Engineering, Shahbad Daulatpur, Main Bawana Road, Delhi-110042 in person on all working days from Monday to
Friday between 10.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M. on submission of a Pay Order or Crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 500/-.
The Application form can also be obtained through post by sending a Demand Draft of Rs. 600/- (inclusive of postal
charges) along with three address slips (10cm X 5 cm) to which the application form is to be sent. The envelope
containing the demand draft and address slips should be inscribed with “Request for B.E. admission form” on top
and must reach the “Administrative Officer, Delhi College of Engineering, Shahbad Daulatpur, Main Bawana Road,

The candidate should have an experience of working in the appropriate profession for at least one year after passing qualifying examination for 1st round of examination. However, if a candidate has passed four year diploma course in Engineering & Technology with industrial training in sandwich pattern, the requirement of one year experience is not necessary.

Management Profile
The Hyderbad (Sind) National Collegiate Board was managing the National College
in Hyderabad (Sind) long before the partition of India. The board was associated
with the National Movement for the Independence of India. After the Partition of the
country in 1947, the Members of Sindhi Hindu Community were compelled to
abandon the college and migrate to India. Late Principal K.M.Kundnani was the
Principal at that time. After the partition of the country in 1947, Principal K.M.Kundnani
appreciated the need of his teaching fraternity and the community and initiated efforts
for starting a college in Mumbai. He received active support and encouragement from
Late Barrister Hotchand G.Advani. Both of them together founded the Hyderabad
(Sind) National Collegiate Board in 1949 at Mumbai. Late Barrister H.G.Advani was
the founder President and Late Principal K.M.Kundnani was the founder Secretary
and founder Principal of the first college started by the board and known as the
Rishi Dayaram National College, Bandra, Mumbai – 400050.
The HSNCB is at present headed by Shri Niranjan Hiranandani as its President who
is a Chartered Accountant & an eminent builder. Prof. J.K.Bhambhani is the Rector
& Secretary of the Board. Prof. J.K.Bhambhani is an eminent educationalist, is the
Rector & Secretary of the board, is the former Principal of K.C.College and has been
associated with the association of the Board along with Late Barrister Hotchand G.
Advani and Principal K.M.Kundnani. The Board members include Chartered Accountant,
Eminent industrialist, Doctors, Engineers, Management and other Professional.
This was followed by a chain of Educational Institutions belonging to various faculties
such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Education, Law, Engineering, Technology
and Para-Medical. The institutions managed by the Board and affiliated to the University of

Walchand College of Engineering is situated midway between Sangli and Miraj cities at Vishrambaug, Sangli. The WCE campus is located on nearly 102.50 acres of land on the southern side of Sangli – Miraj road. In 1947, college made a modest beginning with Civil Engineering undergraduate course. (B.E. Civil), with an intake capacity of 60. Subsequently undergraduate courses in electrical and mechanical engineering, B.E.(Elec) and B.E.(Mech), with intake capacity of 60 each were introduced during the years 1950 and 1951 respectively.
PG courses in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and diploma course in Industrial Electronics were introduced in 1971. In 1986 the UG and PG courses in Electronics Engineering and UG course in Computer Science and Engineering were introduced. PG course in CSE was introduced in 1997. In 2001, added B.E. course in Information Technology with an intake of 60 students. An additional intake of 30 students was also sanctioned for Computer Science & Engineering course, resulting in total intake of 390 students for all branches at UG level and 106 at PG level.
